Andy Irvine to manage 2013 Lions Tour

British LionsScotsman Andy Irvine has been appointed as the manager of the next British and Irish Lions Tour in 2013 to Australia.

The former Scotland full-back will be keeping an eye out for potential coaches over the next 12 months, and is likely to make the appointment after the Rugby World Cup next year.

The Lions have also announced that they’ll take on a Barbarians side in Hong Kong on their way Down Under, which should add an interesting element to the next tour. We’re already excited!

    1. Hi Gayle, Im Heather, I wanted to contact you because many years ago I remember my mum telling me that Andy Irvine (Scottish rugby player)is her cousin. Now alas my mum has passed, so am unable to ask her for more info. Im in the processes of doing a family tree my self and wow it is hard. I would love to hear back from you to see if there is a connection and we just might be able to help each other out. Cheers for now Heather
