  1. Dear me, that’s a decent back row.

The only good thing for England is that Bismarck du Plessis is injured – although Strauss played pretty well the other week

Need England to put the pressure on Pat Lambie

  2. It’s a good pack all round! I would only pick Cole ahead of his opposite number. We may have been favourites going in to last week, but certainly not this week. Yes we got a draw in the last game on their patch, but I think even with key injuries they are a much better team with the inclusion of Louw and exclusion or Morne. A lot of hot heads in the line up though, let’s hope we can get a good start and really test their temperament. I fear Boks by 10

  3. This side is beatable. There are lots of good players in there, but they aren’t playing particularly well. The South African contingent in the office aren’t particularly confident in their side at the moment…

  4. We are neither big enough nor have the ability to move them around, but are some where in between both styles of play and personnel.

Other than Cole and possibly Tuilagi (on the wing), they are better man for man. I am not calling for Lancaster’s head at all, just a definition of the style of play. If we are going to pick position appropriate rugby players then Lancaster needs to admit he is wrong about Robshaw at 7, and work from there. Now we are in the 2nd tier for the RWC, it will be a perfect opportunity upon being beaten by Aus, SA and NZ to revamp the side again once the injuries are sorted for the 6N.

If England do not play the style of rugby we all want to see, then I hope they do get a hiding for the good of the future. The worst case scenario would be England winning by 2 points playing 2012 6N style.

    For 2013 6N:

    1. Vunipola M
    2. Hartley (c)
    3. Cole
    4. Lawes
    5. Launchbury
    6. Croft (v/c)
    7. Armitage
    8. Vuniploa B
    9. Youngs
    10. Flood
    11. Tuilagi
    12. Goode
    13. JJ
    14. Ashton
    15. Foden

With IMPACT replacements including Ford, Wade, Twelvetrees, Cipriani, May, Varndell and Burns in the backs and the likes of Morgan, Wood, Kvesic, Saul, Kitchener, Gibson, Sinckler etc in the forwards coming on.

  5. Who is JJ??

I’ve hear of JJ Hanrahan – the impressive #10 for Ireland in the junior rugby world cup but it’s obviously not him..
