Itoje was awesome, but it was actually a new signing for us, Michael Rhoades who was playing 6. First name on the scoreboard, and he had a great game. Looks like he has a good engine and workrate.

Itoje is an incredible young man though. He was the captain for the match on Saturday and he’s not fazed about leading a group of players vastly more experience than himself. I would give him the England captaincy now, and build a team around him. I am slightly biased though!!

Main problem was the number of times we knocked on in Worcesters 22.

I assume you are talking about Itoje at 6 he’s a huge prospect, he just keeps getting better

I’ve only seen highlights of the Worcester/Saints game, but was surprised to see Saints not getting better ball from their pack. Looks like Manoa has left a big hole?

We usually suffer with the same problem when Billy V is out, but Sale didn’t seem too interested at the weekend, and one of our new players had a great game from 6.

Yeah bit gutted to be honest as much as I was expecting a bit of dog from Worcester I still thought we would have enough to close it out in the last 20 minutes.

Last time the England job was on offer Northampton had a terrible run of results which saw Mallinder fall out of favor. Conspiracy theories will start to appear soon if we lose many more

You were right about Sale and Worcester. Was not expecting to beat Sale by that much. They really were pretty poor! The spilt ball over the try line summed up their day at the end.

Great performance from Worcester, and some big cojones shown by Heathcote at the end.

I’m not sure Sarries will win by that much. They’ve not been too convincing in their pre-season games, and even with some their England players back 18 points is a big margin of victory.

I also think Northampton will beat Worcester by more than 9. More like 15-20.

Agree with the others, but there’s certainly a few banana skins in there!!
