1 – Beno Obano (Bath)
Obano carried strongly on Saturday afternoon and was involved in several link plays which absolutely tore up Quins and was top notch as well in the scrum.
2 – Jack Singleton (Worcester)
It was another industrious performance from the Worcester hooker who ran a great support line to score a try that cut the fancied Tigers side to shreds and was pinpoint accurate in his lineout throwing.
3 – Anthony Perenise (Bath)
Perenise was once again in top form in the scrum, whilst in the loose was powerful and showed great hands in the build up to Elliot Stooke’s try.
4 – Will Spencer (Worcester)
Worcester’s giant lock was a menace for Leicester to handle in both the loose and in his line out jumping. Also showed some lovely hands to constantly put Leicester on the back foot.
5 – Jeremy Thrush (Gloucester)
Thrush was excellent for the Cherry & Whites, carrying willingly and consistently all match and finished off a great training pitch move from the line out with surprisingly good pace to score a superb try.
6 – Zach Mercer (Bath)
The former England U20s captain was most impressive, being so strong in the carry, showing good passing skills and made a great break before feeding Paul Grant to score.
7 – Ben Curry (Sale)
Curry is in great form at the moment with both his breakdown work, pace and carrying in attack and showed that on Saturday, scoring at the end of a lovely team try.
8 – Thomas Waldrom (Exeter)
The former England Number 8 carried both robustly and numerously setting up a platform for the Chiefs to build on and win a famous away victory at Allianz Park.
9 – Kahn Fotuali’i (Bath)
Fotuali’i was instrumental in Bath’s superb win over Harlequins with his control and speed of the game followed by some nice snipes and breaks.
10 – Freddie Burns (Bath)
An excellent all-round performance from Burns who scored 17 points which included his 1st try for his new and hometown club.
11 – Josh Adams (Worcester)
Adams was simply brilliant on Saturday running an intelligent inside line to burst through several defenders before dotting down, and scoring another try after picking up a neat grubber kick behind the retreating Tigers.
12 – Ian Whitten (Exeter)
Whitten made a lovely dummy before handing off Schalk Burger to speed away for a good individual try.
13 – Andy Symons (Gloucester)
Symons scored at the end of a great Henry Purdy break by running an incisive line to power his way over, and he worked hard in both defence and attack.
14 – Henry Purdy (Gloucester)
The Gloucester winger was mesmeric on Friday night setting up one try whilst showing great footballing skills to score another individual try and help his side to a great away victory over Newcastle.
15 – Alex Goode (Saracens)
Despite his side losing at home, there was nothing noteworthy to fault from Goode who scored a lovely blind-side try after a nice “1-2” interplay between him and Nathan Earle.

For some Worcester fans who would want Alafoti Fa’osiliva in the team of the week let me explain why he wasn’t here. Despite some solid carrying and some lovely handling to set up Singleton, his high shoulder charge no arms tackle on Gareth Owen should have been carded for but wasn’t and the fact that he wasn’t cited baffles me
Lewis Ludlow. 29 tackles! Made some metres running and a line-out steal for good measure for Glos. Wore 7, but I guess a 6.5 really. Worth a shout this week?
Ross who? Just kidding – will miss Moriarty, been an immense player for Glos, but fortunately it seems he is replaceable.
Ludlow has been really good I must admit
I thought Ludlow was excellent. He seems to have come on a lot this season.
Nice to see a couple of Worcester players flagged up. Spencer does look very good, and Singleton looks a completely different player to the one who played against the BaaBaas at the end of last season.
Ryan Mills and Chris Pennell returning have made a big difference.
Singleton has been very good in my opinion, he’s a better hooker than Tom Dunn in my opinion and much better at set piece than Taylor
Who will be England’s 3rd hooker at the next RWC? All up for grabs!
That is all up for grabs, personally in my opinion it should be Cowan-Dickie but it depends if he is fit
Might indeed be on the comeback trail after last weekend!
