Brumbies name team to face the Lions

brumThe ACT Brumbies have named a strong team to take on the Lions tomorrow in Canberra. Wallaby squad members Scott Sio and Peter Kimlin have been released to play, while in the back three Jesse Mogg, Henry Speight and Clyde Rathbone have been some of the most dangerous attacking players this season.

Head coach Jake White said, “This is a huge occasions for us as a team, but also individually. The Lions are one of rugby’s last romantic sides, there is plenty of history there and we know that beating the Lions will go down in Canberra’s rugby folk law for many years to come.”

  1. Looks like a very good back line which is where we will be weakest as most of the Lions players, will still be working out what each others names are, let alone what the defensive pattern is!

    I know it’s not really that bad. 36 and Barritt have played together, and in a Farrell defence, but you know what I mean. Going to be close. Haven’t yet decided who I think will win, but we still have a very strong pack, which on reflection might just see us over the line.

  2. Could be dodgy this one. Have a feeling the Lions will lose. Really hoping for a little magic from ‘ickle Shane and Wade.

    As you say, saving grace could be the pack which is pretty strong – as is the bench
