Following weeks of preparation and fundraising from the team at the Ben Lei’a Charity UK, Canterbury of New Zealand’s CEO Chris Stephenson took to the abseil ropes on Sunday March 20th to take part in an abseil down St Guys Hospital Tower to help raise money and generate support for the charity.
Along with participants from various walks of life, including ex rugby players, journalists and the guys behind the charity the teams set about raising a huge sum of money – £10,000 and counting as the last groups to abseil started their descent.
Chris Stephenson said of the day “it was an amazing experience, we had a wonderful day and were grateful to be able to lend our support to help generate awareness and funds for such a worthwhile cause, this was a life changing experience and we hope that the money raised goes some way to helping change Ben’s life too.”
Don’t forget that we’re giving away a Limited Edition Canterbury T-shirt signed by the All Blacks. Enter the competition now if you haven’t already.
