England 39 Pacific Islanders 13

There were promising signs for Martin Johnson’s England in their 39-13 defeat of the Pacific Islanders, but there is still plenty to work on before the Wallabies turn up next week.

We’ll bring more detailed analysis in due course, but let us know where you think there were positives and negatives, and whether you think this team is good enough to see off any of the Southern Hemisphere teams.

  1. There wasn’t much structure the game to be honest. It was good to see us punishing errors and running at pace in broken play but the islanders were poor and not many teams will make that many mistakes.

Apart from Rees the back row werent seen much. Borthwick was average. Care was excellent. Its going to be much harder next week.
