European Challenge Cup 2018/19: Round 3 Predictions

Challenge Cup

Here are my predictions for the Challenge Cup this weekend.

Pau v Worcester
Picking the home team is safer here, and although Worcester have played well in this tournament, they’ll be more focused on Premiership survival. Pau by 6

Grenoble v Agen
Pick the home team, especially in this fixture when it’s in Grenoble. Grenoble by 13

Enisei-STM v Zebre
What a titanic battle we have here. Zebras in Siberia? Enisei-STM by 2

Timi?oara Saracens v Clermont
Clermont won by 58 when these two teams met in France. In theory it should be closer away from home. Clermont by 28

Treviso v Harlequins
I haven’t seen the teams yet, but if Quins can beat Exeter, they can beat Treviso. Harlequins by 4

Northampton v Dragons
This should be a home win for the Saints, having won the reverse fixture in Newport. Northampton by 13

Connacht v Perpignan
Perpignan have yet to win a match this season, and they won’t win this one either. Connacht by 18

Bristol v La Rochelle
I suspect this won’t be a full-strength Bristol team, but never pick the French away. Bristol by 2

Ospreys v Stade Francais
As above, the Welsh side should prevail at home. Ospreys by 6

Bordeaux v Sale
The Sharks are top of the group with maximum points so far, and I think the French are conceding this tournament in order to concentrate on domestic affairs. Sale by 6
