He’s one of my favourite players to watch and deserved more of a shot with England. Imagine a back three with him and JSD in it?! Could have caused carnage!

We were playing Monye at fullback in 2009 for crying out loud!

His only recent outing in an England shirt was a midweek game on the 2012 South Africa tour, and he scored a first-half hat-trick.

One player that does stand out here is Tom Rees. The best player to come through the Wasps Academy in the last decade, and have 5 or 6 years as England captain by now had it not been for his knee injuries. Such an unfortunate waste of talent.
