Guinness Premiership and Six Nations predictions

Here are my Six Nations and Guinness Premiership picks for the weekend’s action.

All three Six Nations games could go either way, whilst the Guinness Premiership is so difficult to call at the best of times, least of all when international players are missing and strength in depth is put to the test.

Six Nations predictions:

Game 7: France v Wales: Wales by 13
Game 8: Scotland v Italy: Scotland by 11
Game 9: Ireland v England: Ireland by 8

Guinness Premiership predictions:

Game 85: Gloucester Rugby v Bath Rugby: Gloucester Rugby by 7
Game 86: Northampton Saints v Newcastle Falcons: Northampton Saints by 8
Game 87: Worcester Warriors v London Wasps: London Wasps by 8
Game 88: Bristol Rugby v Harlequins: Harlequins by 6
Game 89: London Irish v Leicester Tigers: Leicester Tigers by 5
Game 90: Saracens v Sale Sharks: Sale Sharks by 11

Let me know if you agree or disagree…and have a great weekend.

  1. I have Wales by 9 , Scotland by 12 and Ireland by 8 so very similar .

Guiness Premiership looks about right the one change I’d make would be London Irish at home to beat Leicester but by the score you’ve suggested the other way i.e 5 .

  2. If your predictions are correct it will certainly boost my Superbru positions in the Six Nations and GP pools.

  3. Can’t wait to see the France-Wales game. If the French play like they did against Ireland, and Wales maintain their momentum, it should be the match of the tournament.

  4. Do you know my head said France (despite pre match hype suggesting otherwise) but the old heart got in the way hence mucking up my Superbru position doing just as well in the Super 14 which I know stuff all about.Wrong on Leicester too but a cracking game from the highlights.

No coal carts down our way any more Fakey a certain Mrs Thatcher got rid of them all , there is a rather nice vineyard about 10 miles from me though (I kid you not ) and I can recommend the Cariad wine it produces just to reverse the French/Welsh stereotypes.

  5. Mines and steel sounds like the production line of the old Welsh packs though there were more teachers in fact in most of the 70’s Welsh sides to contradict the myth .Just as well we are not relying on banks say to produce players in which case it wouldn’t just be Fiji worry about !
