ERC have announced the fixtures for the 2013/2014 Heineken Cup.
Defending champions Toulon begin their title defence at home to Glasgow Warriors on Sunday 13th October, while the competition kicks off two days previously in Ireland, as Connacht welcome Saracens and Ulster entertain the Tigers.
Round one also sees an all-French heavyweight clash wrapping up the weekend, as Racing Metro take on Clermont Auvergne in the final game of the weekend. The second round features two contenders – Saracens and Toulouse – taking the headlines on Friday evening, while Harlequins face the unenviable task of travelling to the daunting Stade Marcel Michelin to take on Clermont.
In Round three Exeter welcome Toulon’s galacticos to Sandy Park, while another French team making the journey across the Channel are Montpellier, as they head to Leicester.
The highlight of the pool stages, however, comes in round four, where Leinster take on Northampton in a repeat of the epic 2011 final. The game, taking place on Saturday 14th December, has been moved to the Aviva Stadium by Leinster.
