The London Wasps St. George’s Day Game against Bath on Saturday promises to be much more than just a game of rugby.
It is celebration of what it means to be English, bringing together patriots of all ages to mark the special day with a diverse range of entertainment on and off the pitch at Twickenham Stadium – but the day will also raise much needed funds for four military charities – helping those back in the UK who have been injured whilst serving their country.
Wasps and England Star Josh Lewsey has backed the Aviva Premiership Big Game to be a real contest between one of the league’s best defences and a team that has scored 12 tries in the last three games. In this video, Lewsey champions the military charities that will benefit from the match (Combat Stress, BLESMA – Limbless Veterans, The Special Boat Service Association, and The Parachute Regiment Charity), and our troops in Camp Bastion are seen enjoying a game of touch rugby with Afghanistan residents.
