Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at The Rugby Blog – have a great holiday of rugby and relaxation.
We’re taking a few days off over Christmas, but we’re already excited about what’s coming up in 2012.
As soon as January arrives, we’ll be getting very excited about the RBS Six Nations that kicks off on the 4th February, which is only a few weeks away. It’s the start of a new four-year cycle post-RWC, and we’ll be on hand to usher in the new era for the home nations.
Along with the start of the new Super Rugby season, we’ll be kept busy and entertained until the end of March. By then, the PRO 12, Aviva Premiership and Heineken Cup will be approaching their climax, whilst the players vie to catch the eye of their national selectors ahead of the Summer Tours.
Once the domestic seasons end in May, we’ll be looking ahead to those Test Series, as well as the Super Rugby finale and Tri-Nations, before we start all over again with domestic rugby and the Autumn Internationals.
Thank you to everyone that has contributed this year – either by writing an article, commenting on posts or just stopping by occasionally to read what’s happening. It is hugely appreciated.
See you in 2012!
