O2 Rugby Reunion, a nationwide initiative to encourage players that have drifted away from rugby to get back involved and put a team together, is heading for its last few events.
We were lucky enough to be invited to Twickenham where some of the Rugby Reunion teams and players were put through their paces on the hallowed turf after the England training session.

Nick took part in the training drills, and managed to grab some footage as well as some player interviews afterwards. Below is a sneak preview of the next instalment of ‘Taking the Mic‘ – his ongoing journey to the top of the rugby broadcasting world:

Three events remain, including the final on Sunday September 5th in Twickenham – the same day as the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final which takes place at The Stoop that evening.
• Coventry, Coundon Hall Park – Friday 20th August
• Bournemouth, Oakmedians RFC – Sunday 29th August
• London, The Big One, Sunday 5th September
Aimed at reigniting players’ passion for rugby, O2 Rugby Reunion uses Facebook to reconnect players with their old teams and make it easy for them to start playing again. Using the specially-created O2 Rugby Reunion Facebook application, a captain can register a team and interest in a specific touch rugby event, send invites to friends and confirm attendance at the event once a minimum of six team members have been recruited. Teams can then opt to take part in either the ‘fun’ or ‘competitive’ category for their local event, and don’t forget that teams can also come along on the day and register.
