If anything, there is a hint that Parisse was pulled back; instead of getting there clearly first, Dulin hitting the side of him and Parisse quite possibly winning the ball, Dulin hits his leg only and flips over it.

Possibly it should have been a penalty TO Parisse not agianst.

I’m not quite sure, but does it say in the Laws that there has to be intent in foul play to be worthy of a red card? If not then surely there needs to be a change. I think there should be a difference in punishment between a player who accidently jumps into an opponent while also competing for the ball and someone who deliberatly tackles him in the air. Right now for both of those infringements the refs give red cards, surely that’s unfair

Dangerous play does not need to have intent. However in this case I can not see anything that SP has done to cause the contact, he was entitled to be there, didn’t play the man and was pulled back slightly. I would imagine this will be overturned.

Did they review this on the pitch with the TMO? If so then both the ref and TMO need to go back to rule school! It doesn’t even look as though Parisse would be aware of Dulin coming in to catch the ball. He comes in from his right side, slightly behind him. If he chooses to jump in the air while someone else is already there to challenge for the ball and gets wiped out, then that’s his own fault, not Parisse’s.
I’d be interested to hear the view of the person who voted for a red card?
