With Dan Parks now out of the picture following his retirement yesterday, Scotland now need a new fly-half. There are plenty of options available, so we want you to vote for who you’d like to see take the shirt on in the long run, and give us your reasons in the comments below:

  1. Interesting that Weir is leading the way, even though Greig Laidlaw will probably get the nod this weekend, and it would have been Jackson if he was fit…

Does Andy Robinson know what he’s doing?!

  2. I think Jacko is the natural choice, however I would prefer to see him remain with Glasgow for a game or two, just because since coming back from the world cup he has not had much game time.

  3. Greig Laidlaw is the man ! Makes better decisions under pressure, and they will certainly be under a lot of pressure in the next game. He’s got big boots to fill though so don’t envy him, and he’d need some time to bed in…..

  4. Laidlaw’s size and style reminds me a little of Ross. He was a good fly half, but they kept on picking Parkes because his kicking game was better. This could actually help Scotland in this tournament, as Parkes was the weak link last week. A good player, but feel he often relied on his boot a bit too much.
