Poll: Who will win The Rugby Championship 2012?

Rugby ChampionshipInternational Rugby returns this weekend with the start of the inaugural Rugby Championship, and as always in the Southern Hemisphere, the jury is out on which side will win it.

The World Champion All Blacks are confident as always, but so are the Springboks who can beat anyone if they play for 80 minutes as they did in the first half of the 2nd Test against England. And Australia know they can beat anyone on their day with a fair wind and a touch of magic, so don’t count them out.

It’s probably a stretch too far to think that Argentina can win it, but let us know who you think will lift the new trophy at the end of the tournament. We can then use the power of the crowd and take our savings to the bookie:

  1. “Springboks who can beat anyone if they play for 80 minutes as they did in the first half of the 2nd Test against England”. An interesting one there. How can you play for 80 minutes in the first half?

    1. Huge amount of injury time!

Yes, before you say anything, I know you can’t have more than 40 mins play but they could be on the pitch for 80. Sorry I started this now!

  2. If they play for the whole match like they did in the first half of that Test, they can beat anybody…I think that’s what I was trying to say, and I still think it makes sense!

    1. That’s true, not even New Zealand at their best would have been able to stop them then.

The problem is that the Boks haven’t cobbled together an eighty minute performance yet.

New Zealand will be too good for everyone I’m afraid, especially after their win in the first Bledisloe game.

  3. You’d be dreaming if you thought anybody but the ABs would win this but, I’d love to see the Pumas in the final!
