I should really ask my little sister to write this column, given that she’s 8th on the SportGuru Global Leaderboard out of over 7,000. But anyway, here are my views on which way this weekend’s games will go.
Scotland v Italy
This isn’t the game I’m looking forward to most this weekend, but it will be interesting to see whether the Azzurri can back up their incredible victory over France.
Scotland are winless so far, but Italy’s drubbing by England should mean that a home win will ensure that Italy are awarded the Wooden Spoon, and having come close to a few victories so far, the Scots will be desperate to avoid the whitewash.
No doubt the Italians will have been swigging Lambrini non-stop all week, and with that combined with home advantage, I’m leaning towards Scotland for this one.

Ireland v England
Where to start? All the arguments for and against England winning the Grand Slam have been discussed at length this week, particularly here.
Will England stand on the wrong side for the anthems? Will Ireland play to their potential? Will Sean O’Brien and the Irish back row stifle any quick ball? Will Shontayne Hape make a break? Will Chris Ashton do a swallow dive? So many unanswered questions.
It’s likely to be tight, and incredibly tense all afternoon, but I’ve got to pick England just in case they win.

France v Wales
There are yet more question marks over this game, and it’s another that could scupper lots of people’s picks.
How will France respond after defeat to Italy? And can Wales play well enough to exploit any mental weakness? I suspect that the French mood will be desperate, and if Wales can edge ahead, they’ll benefit from the lack of confidence among Les Bleus.
And let’s not forget that the Welsh have an outside chance of winning the championship – a French capitulation like we saw against Australia might not be out of the question, given their current mindset, and Wales could sneak the title if England lose. I’ll back them to win, but not by enough for the championship.
