RBS 6 Nations 2011: Wales team to play Italy

Warren Gatland has named his side to take on Italy in Rome this weekend.

Welsh fans will be feeling a little more confident after their victory at Murrayfield – another defeat there, and they would have looked pretty vulnerable at the Stadio Flaminio.

James Hook has now been shifted from full-back to outside centre, with Stephen Jones returning at fly-half and Jon Davies missing out through injury.

Gatland said in the press conference: “Italy will be dangerous. We know how tough they are at home. This has been a banana skin in the past. We need a good performance and a good result.”

Can this side beat the Azzurri?

Wales:
Lee Byrne
Morgan Stoddart
James Hook
Jamie Roberts
Shane Williams
Stephen Jones
Mike Phillips

Ryan Jones
Sam Warburton
Dan Lydiate,
Alun Wyn Jones
Bradley Davies
Craig Mitchell
Matthew Rees
Paul James

Replacements:
Hibbard, Yapp, Thomas, Turnbull, Knoyle, Priestland, Halfpenny
