  1. paddy wallace should not travel to newzealand mc fadden is a much better center cover option with fitz bowe trimble and earls all able to play center as well

    1. I agree with you Rick. We have more than enough cover for centre in the squad as it is and the argument that paddy covers fly half deosnt stand up anymore because he has played there so little and in McFadden we have a far better place kicker than Wallace.

  2. i think kidney is either giving wallace one more chance to prove he has what it takes to play against the top teams or he is already on the plane to NZ and kidney just wants to give him game time with different combinations at centre. I hope its the first option because i don’t think wallace has what it takes and there are better options and combinations that we could try. i’m sure mcfadden will get on at some stage and i hope to god he gets some quick ball to give him space. if wallace plays well today against France who are a top team then fair play to him and he deserves selection, this is his chance to prove the doubters wrong i guess.
It will be interesting to see how kidney uses his subs, will buckley come on for Healy or Ross? Will o’connell replace Cullen or O’Callaghan?? Who will McFadden replace, will it be a winger or a centre, that will tell you if Kidney believes McFadden could be a candidate for a centre spot come the world cup. I think France might be too strong for Ireland at home and their back row especially but it will be an interesting
