  1. Traille, one of the worlds best centres, at 15????? Lievremont can’t help himself can he?

Still pretty scary looking team as long as they don’t do a “France” on themselves I think they are going to be hard to stop, thank god we’ve got them at home and very glad I’ve got tickets, I hope!

  2. No Jauzion and no Vincent Clerc or Alexis Palisson either, and Traille at full-back. I don’t know much about Yoann Huget to be honest.

Great pack, but doesn’t look like an unbeatable team.

  3. Without sounding harsh to the Scottish, but i think this is a purely experimental team see how certain players get on and get them some game time – as opposed to there first team of choice. Pretty sure we’ll see a very different line up for the Ireland and England game.

  4. You would think Lievremont has done enough of that though wouldn’t you? He’s quite difficult to second-guess, so let’s see what happens next week!

I think the Scots have a reasonable chance.

  5. Nothing experimental about that pack, they’ve wheeled out the guns there. Mermoz has been in awesome form as well. Traille at full back is a dubious one and we know that Lievremont picks wingers by just pulling names out of a hat.

Think they’ll have too much for Scotland but for the rest of the tournament, as ever, who has a clue really?

  6. Guess I lied in my Tele blog. Traille at 15 has caught me off guard, and I’m not convinced by Rougerie at 13. Interesting stuff again from Lievremont!

  7. Can’t quite work out what Lievremont is doing with his backline….an attempt to play as many players out of position as possible? I think Scotland could cause them a lot of problems this weekend. Check out Andy Nicol’s thoughts on Scotlands prospects here: Andy Nicol on Scotland

  8. Hang on…..

    Front row looks formidable.
    second row looks powerful.
back row looks , well I would LOVE to have Harinordiqy and Duasatoir in Englands back row!Bonnaire can jump in lineout.

so the frogs have a very good pack.

then you get to the backs…..utter madness
while I can understand Rougerie @ 13, hes classy and can play there.

I dont get anything else, where is jauizion?and traille!

Having said that, if the frogs turn up, they could pump the scots.

has anyone seen the scots pack? JUMBO
