  1. Don’t like the look of this team, even allowing for all the injuries. Declan Kidney is still wearing his Munster jersey. It should be good enough to beat Italy but like the Autumn international fiasco it’s not an inventive team. Look to the future man, not a bunch of has-been Munster players.

Though it’s a bit of a bad job because of injuries, I’ve picked a team, the back 3 in both the backs and forwards is far from ideal and the replacements are picked for versatility.
My team would be as follows :

    15-Johne Murphy , 14- Luke Fitzgerald, 13-BoD , 12- G. D’Arcy,, 11-Fergus McFadden , 10-Jonathan Sexton, 9-Peter Stringer; 8- Sean O’Brien , 7-Shane Jennings , 6-Denis Leamy , 5-Paul O’Connell, 4- Leo Cullen (captain) , 3-Mike Ross, 2-Sean Cronin, 1-Cian Healy.
    Replacements: 16- Rory Best, 17-Tom Court, 18- Donncha O’Callaghan , 19- Chris Henry , 20-Eoin Reddan . , 21-Paddy Wallace, 22-Keith Earls
