  1. Massive call for Kidney regarding the 10 shirt – only time will tell if it’s going to pay off, but they now have to deal with inexperience as well as injury troubles. Big factor.

    1. O’Gara’s too proud like most good 10’s. He was a lame duck when he came on as an injury sub for Sexton. As a sub for Jackson, he could be a mobile turnstile in the offing. Great player whose days are numbered.

  2. Kilcoyne should have got the nod to start, and I think it’s a big risk not starting O’Gara. If this gamble does not pay off this weekend, Kidney has a huge task ahead of him for the French game.

  3. Its the right choice by kidney. If he had started ROG and he played well then Kidney cant take him off, plus he would get slated for choosing Munster. This is a change that has been forced rather than a visionary Coach type of choice. Jackson has the opportunity now and he needs to grab it. ROG has great experience which is needed there.
More excited about Marshall actually he could be an answer in the centre.
Heaslip will earn his captaincy strips this weekend.

  4. Wait, what is this. Kidney actually picking on form and not on reputation?!
Ok, Trimble is arguably in better form than Fitzy, and I’ve never been a huge fan of Earls, but hey, you can’t always get what you want!

I hope that Jackson delivers, if he does we will have a long term answer for the post-Sexton era! Also excited about marshall getting a run, He played very well against Fiji, will be interesting to see how he shapes up against Scott, whom I rate as a rather good 12, will be important to see whether we will have our answer for when d’arcy signs off!
