Heyneke Meyer has included nine new caps in his first squad as South Africa head coach for the summer series with England, including former Northampton second row Juandre Kruger.
The squad will meet for the first time on Tuesday ahead of the first test in Durban this coming Saturday. Less than half of last year’s Rugby World Cup squad remain, with Fourie Du Preez and Heinrich Brussöw not selected. Ulster’s Ruan Pienaar has also been selected despite playing overseas.
