Super Rugby Predictions 2011: Round 2

Super RugbyI had a good start last weekend with 6 from 7, and nobody predicted that the Highlanders would beat the Hurricanes.

This week, I’m risking further annoyance at the Highlanders if they beat the Chiefs, but I’m backing the away side to bounce back from their narrow defeat to the Brumbies.

Having predicted mostly home wins last week, I’m going for four away victories out of seven this week. The Hurricanes v Crusaders match could be affected by the earthquake this week, and players’ minds may well be elsewhere, but I’ve gone for a win for the Canterbury side.

Here are my predictions for Round 2 of Super Rugby / Super 15:

Highlanders v Chiefs: Chiefs by 5
Rebels v Brumbies: Brumbies by 19
Cheetahs v Bulls: Bulls by 13
Waratahs v Reds: Waratahs by 13
Hurricanes v Crusaders: Crusaders by 8
Sharks v Blues: Sharks by 10
Stormers v Lions: Stormers by 21

  1. HI THINK YOU MIGHT BE A BIT HIGH ON THE STORMERS GAME LIONS SEEM TO BE PLAYING BETTER THAN LAST YEAR BUT STILL THINK STOMERS WILL WIN BY 15 NOT 21 BUT TIME WILL TELL GOOD PREDICTIONS OTHER WISE

  2. I told you not to get too carried away ;). Highlanders surprised everyone again, as did the Rebels, so not many people would have predicted those correctly.
