Super Rugby Predictions 2011: Round 9

It wasn’t a bad round last week, although like many others, I was frustrated by the Stormers’ non-performance at home to the Reds.

There are some very tricky predictions this weekend, including the Rebels at home to Highlanders – the away side had a promising start to the season, but I’m backing Danny Cipriani’s side to come through in Melbourne.

The Reds versus the Bulls is another potential pitfall, with the Queenslanders just returning from their tour of South Africa without a rest. But the Bulls are still on their tour down under and haven’t been performing, so I’m leaning towards a home win.

Cheetahs v Hurricanes is the other one I found tough, with neither side making a strong case to say they can win this game. Home advantage gives the Cheetahs the edge for me, even without Juan Smith and Heinrich Brussouw.

Here are my SuperBru predictions for Round 8 of Super Rugby:

Chiefs v Crusaders: Crusaders by 13
Rebels v Highlanders: Rebels by 9
Blues v Waratahs: Blues by 11
Reds v Bulls: Reds by 8
Lions v Stormers: Stormers by 18
Cheetahs v Hurricanes: Cheetahs by 5
Brumbies v Force: Brumbies by 8

  1. Not bad predictions. Wish the Bulls can get it together a bit. This week was def better than last week though.
