The ‘halfway’ stage

Many people refer to this as the halfway stage in the Rugby World Cup, yet just 8 matches remain and 40 have been played – but this weekend sees the start of the important ‘half’.

Four more teams will see their World Cup dreams shattered, and the prospect of an all-Southern Hemisphere semi-final line up is a probability, rather than a possibility.
