  1. One small point chaps – Chris Ashton is a right wing not left as in your team picks. He’s played 34 times – 31 first team Saints games wearing the 14 shirt, 1 Wandies game wearing the 14 shirt and 1 Wandies game wearing the full back shirt.

    He’s worn the 11 shirt once – in Paris playing for England.

  2. It’s interesting that the forwards are predominantly not from England, while the backs are. This must say something about the national game at the moment. Maybe if we had some good, disciplined players in the pack we would be able to keep hold of the ball for the backs to use.
