The Rugby Blog has teamed up with Manchester Rugby 7s to offer two lucky readers a pair of tickets each to the event at Broughton Park FC between 13th and 15th May.
The organisers have confirmed the addition of a number of new social tournaments and a host of entertainment on offer over the three days.
“The new site allows us to re-introduce the social tournaments and off-field entertainment which was a big success for us in 2009. So far the response has been very positive and plans are in place for a great weekend” commented Marco Vaghetti, Tournament Director.
OFF THE PITCH you can expect Festival Party Marquee with DJs and bands playing music all weekend (including Desert Monkeys, The Bright Sparks , Dead Kestrels, The Quangos, Cheap Cuts, Bourbon Street Beat, Catfish and The Bottlemen), Red Bull chill-out wigwam, hot tub, massage girls, fancy dress, kids play zone, rugby camp, VIP hospitality, trade village, a variety of food outlets and much more.
ON THE PITCH you can expect world class rugby from the likes of Aviva Premiership side Sale Sharks, 2010 Middlesex 7s champions Samurai and a host of international teams, all to be confirmed in the coming weeks. If it is social rugby you are after, there are Ladies, Vets, Boys and a variety of Men’s tournaments to enter. Also, don’t miss the Fancy Dress Cup on the Saturday!
“It’s a great day and a great place to watch rugby,” said Phil Greening, former British Lions and England international.
