We’ll be following the Women’s Six Nations with interest this year, and there’s a Superbru Predictor league running that you can join to give you added interest in every match. I think they are all on TV, or streamed online now.
Wales v Scotland
Scotland won this match in last year’s tournament by 15-14, but they had lost the last 10 meetings before that. At home, Wales have conceded just 10 points to Scotland in their last three matches, and you’d think the home side will win this one to get the tournament underway. Wales by 16
France v Ireland
The French have had the better of their encounters with Ireland, and despite losing in Dublin last year, they have won the last five home matches in this fixture. Only England have managed to win in Paris in this tournament, so surely it’s another home win here. France by 9
Italy v England
Another home win? Unlikely. Like in the Men’s tournament, Italy has never beaten England, and the women have lost their 11 matches by an average margin of 37 points. The teams have been getting slightly closer in recent years, and home advantage must count for something, but it’s an England win to deliver the first Grand Slam points (for a full house of correct picks) this weekend.
