Gallagher Premiership 2018/19: Round 7 Predictions

Gallagher Premiership

The Gallagher Premiership returns this weekend, and I’m hoping the break will have done me some good in terms of Superbru predictions. I seem to be doing ok on the global leaderboard, but disappointingly in the bottom half of the pools I want to win.

With international players unavailable, predictions can be a bit tricky, but the fixtures look relatively straightforward to call this weekend.

Gloucester v Leicester
The home side has picked a strong team for this one, whilst the Tigers have been more affected by international call-ups. Gloucester by 13

Harlequins v Newcastle
The Falcons beat Quins home and away last season, but those days seem a long way off for bottom-of-the-table Newcastle. Harlequins by 7

Bath v Worcester
There’s a chance of an upset in this one, with Worcester looking more impressive lately, but at the Rec I’m leaning towards Bath. Bath by 2

Northampton v Wasps
Wasps have won the last 6 in a row against the Saints, and I’m backing them here too. Northampton have struggled and will be missing a few key players. Wasps by 6

Saracens v Sale
It has to be a home win here, but with a few internationals away, it might not be as easy as it first looks for Sarries. Saracens by 18

Bristol v Exeter
Again, with several players missing for the Chiefs, things aren’t quite what they seem, but they should still win. Exeter by 13

  1. Newcastle are 5 on the trot, I think (including a draw), the fact they’re bottom shouldn’t be taken into account. I would want Harlequins to win but I’m not confident.
