Michael Cheika has named the Australia team to play England in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final this weekend.

Jordan Petaia starts at outside centre, with Reece Hodge returning on the wing and there’s no place for Bernard Foley or Dane Haylett-Petty in the squad.

  1. Looks a strong pack & a decent back line.. Individually, but as a coherent team, will they match England? Surprised that the rehabilitated, skilled & experienced O’Connor didn’t make the 1st team cut. Cheika must really rate Pataia. No room for the also experienced AA-C either. They’ll need to start fast & jump out into a handy lead early on to give themselves a chance IMO. Likely competitive, but just can’t quite see their getting the better of England on the day, even though the latter have gone back into their shell with Farrell starting. Just hope the ref doesn’t bugger this one up with Aus yellows or a red as in the Argentinian, Eng game. Have a horrible feeling that this may happen however. Don’t perceive Eng cards for some unfathomable reason. Could be wrong though. Eng by 8-10.

    1. The Officials for this game couldn’t get much worse Garces, Poite, Raynal and Skeen
      The only way it could be worse was if Poite was in the middle and Garces on the touch but that’s it
