Gary Gold has named the USA team to take on England in their first Rugby World Cup match on Thursday.

AJ MacGinty of Sale Sharks starts at fly-half, whilst other familiar names include Titi Lamositele, Joe Taufete’e and Paul Lasike, who all play in the Gallagher Premiership.

    1. 2 have played for Northampton 2 for Sarries and 1 for Sale but other than that I agree that they a bit of an unknown quantity

    2. Hopefully with more accuracy, focus and ruthlessness Don. Without sounding like a typically arrogant Englishman, we really need to blow them away with an 80 minute performance.

  1. Joe Taufete’e plays for Worcester. Has scored a fair few tries for USA if I remember. Good in the loose but not great in the set piece.

    I’m more interested to see Gary Gold as head coach. I had no idea he was doing that now.

  2. Marler against Lamositelle should be interesting at scrum time. Lamositelle is a very talented and powerful scrummager and may cause the more experienced Marler some problems there.
