  1. Poor Dan Robson, I fully expect it to be as you were from Italy perhaps the only change being Slade and Te’o.

  2. Can’t fathom the retention of both Ewels and Stooke when Hughes is going to be lock cover.

Feel sorry for Robson – beginning to become a latter day Simpson-Daniel. However I do like Spencer as a SH so hoping that he gets some game time.

    1. At least it’s someone outside of the Youngs/Care/Wigglesworth trio!

Whether or not he gets any game time is a different matter

  3. Would like to see Cokanasiga start again, with Henry Slade and Tuilagi at Centre interchanging inside and outside centre. Only reservation is that Scotland look more likely to embarrass defensive lapses out wide than Italy, but he needs to be given the chance to show he can handle it.

    1. I’m guessing that all bar Cockanasiga are pretty much nailed on starters for the RWC. Anyone know when Watson returns from injury? It might seem that one of these two or Ashton or Nowell might not make the squad given the numbers we now have at the position although Watson may go as a full back I guess.

  4. I think this squad looks sound up to a pony & reflects Jones’ WC core. Does its composition mean though, that Wigglesworth & Care are out? Along with other experienced, former ‘contenders’, like Robshaw, Morgan & the inexplicably ommited, esp in light of the Welsh disaster, Cipriani. Similarly with Brown, another self inflicted foot wound? However, it is what it is & Jones is, in Thatchereque fashion, not for turning. England & Jones will stand or fall with this squad.
