Ireland team named for World Cup warm-up against Scotland

IRFUJoe Schmidt has named his team to take on Scotland in their second Rugby World Cup warm-up fixture this weekend, with several big guns recalled to the line-up.

Tommy Bowe starts in the back three alongside Simon Zebo and Luke Fitzgerald, while Jared Payne returns to the 13 shirt he occupied in the Six Nations alongside wily campaigner Gordon D’Arcy. Leinster pair Ian Madigan and Isaac Boss are the half-backs.

Up front Devin Toner partners Dan Tuohy in the engine room, the former looking to stake his claim on the starting RWC jersey, the latter just looking to make the squad. Sean O’Brien and Chris Henry are the big names in the back-row, while they are joined by the debutant Jack Conan.

On the bench, Paul O’Connell will be introduced at some stage along with another debutant, Connacht’s prop Nathan White.
