Head coach Vern Cotter has announced his Scotland team to take on Japan in their Rugby World Cup opener in Gloucester on Wednesday. It is very much a full strength team, with any thoughts of rotation surely quashed by Japan’s incredible win over South Africa on Saturday.
Josh Strauss could make his Scotland debut from the bench, having only qualified for the country in the last two weeks. Greig Laidlaw is captain from scrum-half, continuing his Six Nations half-back partnership with Finn Russell.
