One of my fravorites was during the Ireland v Romania game, the romanian outside centre puts a massive hit on his opposite number after which the ref blows for offside. While the medics are on seeing to the bruised Irishman, the Romanian saunters up to the ref with a big grin on his face and says with a thick accent “but was good tackle ya” to which the ref can only respond “yes it was a very good tackle”
Can’t remember the teams but there was a match up at St. James’ park and Nigel Owens says something along the lines of “………but if you want to play like that come back in a weeks time” classic Nigel!!
It was the SA v Scotland game. Hogg ‘fell over’ looking for a penalty. Nigel Owens was having nothing of it and told Hogg off for soccer behaviour. Classic
