We have an article on the key learnings from Round 2 on the way, so for now here are the results for the weekend along with the Superbru predictability.
Ulster 18-13 Clermont – 57%
Treviso 32-35 Northampton – 91%
Saracens 44-3 Ospreys – 93%
Toulouse 32-17 Connacht – 93%
Lyon 6-13 Leinster 87%
Exeter 34-18 Glasgow – 74%
Munster 21-21 Racing – 1%
Harlequins 15-9 Bath – 61%
Sale 25-15 La Rochelle – 82%
Montpellier 30-27 Gloucester – 76%
Apart from the draw, all games were predicted by more than half of the Superbru community, with 7 home wins and away victories for Northampton and Leinster over Treviso and Lyon respectively.
It sounds as though the Saints were rather fortunate to escape with all 5 points, but it was a much better weekend for the English teams overall. Sarries destroyed Ospreys, suggesting they might just have a say in this tournament after all, whilst Exeter continued their impressive form with a hard-fought win over Glasgow. The Chiefs are the only side to have 10 points on the board
The Quins v Bath game sounded like one to miss, whilst both Sale and Gloucester gave a good account of themselves on Sunday.
