Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Rugby Blog

Happy Christmas from The Rugby Blog

Happy Christmas from everyone at The Rugby Blog – have a great festive season of over-indulgence!

We’re taking a few days off over Christmas, to gear ourselves up mentally and physically for a massive rugby year in 2011.

As soon as January arrives, we’ll be getting very excited about the RBS Six Nations that kick off on the 4th February, which is only a few weeks away.

Along with the start of the new Super Rugby season, we’ll be kept busy and entertained until the end of March. By then, the Magners League, Aviva Premiership and Heineken Cup will be approaching their climax, whilst the players vie to catch the eye of their national selectors.

Once the domestic seasons end in May, we’ll start to think about World Cup squad selections, the Tri-Nations and warm-up matches over the summer before the big one kicks off in September.

The Rugby World Cup is just 9 months away! We’ve got all sorts of excitement planned for that, so make sure you stay with us for the ride.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed this year – either by writing an article or two, commenting on posts or just stopping by occasionally to read what’s happening. It is hugely appreciated.

See you in 2011!
