I don’t care how good Ireland look, this Scotland team will be dangerous against anyone
The back-line looks so strong; Hogg is a weapon, Jones looked good over the autumn, and Seymour and Maitland have been playing well for club all season.
I think Scotland could finish top 3, they just need the belief.
There is some serious talent in that backline!! If they get good ball and Russell moves the ball around a bit they could put Ireland under some serious pressure!!
Scotland have a talented looking back line but Irelands pack is huge and powerful. Don’t think they’ll quite do it on Saturday but it’s their year to beat us (wales).
i think the idea is going to be to get it out of the scrum asap with this 8
Two very inexperienced props may be a problem for Scotland if it is wet and there is a lot of scrummaging, but good to see they at last have a dynamic hooker. I think the Irish will target Laidlaw and Russell early on to prevent the Scottish backs from getting quick ball on the front foot, and I would also rather have the Irish back row who I think will win enough ball to see the Irish to a narrow win.
One of the best Scotland teams in years, they’ll definitely be competitive.
I still their front row is a little weak, and Laidlaw’s style just doesn’t suit the rest of the backline which may well hinder them. Would be a more flowing side with Ali Price in there I think.
