South Africa names team to play Scotland

logoHead coach Heyneke Meyer has named five uncapped players in his matchday 23 to play Scotland this weekend, including IRB Young Player of the Year Handré Pollard, who starts at fly-half.

There are six changes in total from the side that snuck past Wales 31-30 last weekend. Marcel Coetzee comes into the starting line-up for his first appearance of the year in place of François Louw, while the four uncapped players on the bench prop Marcel van de Merwe, lock Stephan Lewies, backrow Teboho Mohoje and fly-half Marnitz Boschoff.

Lwazi Mvovo, Schalk Burger Lood de Jager and Coenie Oosthuizen are promoted to the starting line-up from the bench, while Tendai Mtawarira, Flip van de Merwe, Willem Alberts and Johan Goosen were not considered for selection due to injury.
