Super Rugby Predictions 2017: Round 11

Superbru

It was a slightly disappointing 5 from 8 last weekend, but this round looks slightly more straightforward.

Hurricanes v Stormers
Poor Stormers – it almost feels cruel sending them to play the Canes after two 50-point drubbings. Hurricanes by 23.

Cheetahs v Highlanders
After a relatively promising start to the season, the Cheetahs now sit beneath the Kings on the log, and I can’t see them beating the Highlanders. Highlanders by 18.

Rebels v Lions
So the Rebels drew with the Sharks but then shipped 40 points against the Kings? They return home and could be travel-weary against the Lions. Lions by 16.

Chiefs v Reds
The Chiefs had a brief scare against the lowly Sunwolves last weekend, but I still can’t see the Reds causing them too many problems. Chiefs by 28.

Waratahs v Blues
Another chance to break the Aussie duck against Kiwi teams, and the home side has won this fixture since 2009…but you still have to back the Blues. Blues by 8.

Sharks v Force
This really should be a home win for the Durban team, but it might be closer than some people think. Sharks by 9.

Bulls v Crusaders
Home advantage is usually a factor for Bulls’ matches, but the Crusaders remain unbeaten this season and that is unlikely to change. Crusaders by 13.

Jaguares v Sunwolves
The Jaguares lost their first home game of the season last weekend, but they should still have enough to get past a feisty Sunwolves team. Jaguares by 23.

  1. Cheetahs-Highlanders will be closer and low-scoring match. Waratahs can sneak this one and Crusaders will be the upset of the week, 5 defeats in the last 5 visits to Loftus Versfeld
