The three appointments were fairly common knowledge, and this morning’s announcement has also confirmed the backroom staff as follows.

Strength & Conditioning: Adam Beard
Fitness Coach: Paul Stridgeon
Head of Performance Analysis: Rhys Long
Performance Analyst: Rhodri Bown
Head of Medical: Dr James Robson

  1. Does Howley have something on Gatland? Bad appointment IMO. Is it me or is there a distinct lack of Irish involvement on the support side? Also its a bit bizzare that Edwards has not been given the compenmsation of being the Wales Head coach for their Japanese tour, McBryde has been chosen instead. Does this indicate that Edwards will soo be departing the Welsh set up?

    1. Yes I wondered on Howley, what has he managed to do to justify this? To be fair none of the home nations play particularly attractive rugby so it was slim pickings for the attach coach!

And it is a bit harsh on Edwards, but he was effectively head to head with Farrell, who is meant to be very well respected!

      1. I thought that. Although I thought his missed tackle count was worryingly high! It makes Warburton look very bad.

  2. I don’t know if its just me but Edwards does seem a little more distant during the autumn internationals….there was a look of inevitably on his face from the coaches box
