  1. Wayne Barnes for me – usually an excellent communicator to the players, takes swift decisive action and allows forward passes against the All Blacks. What’s not to like?

  2. Dave Pearson is doing better than I thought he might after the Sarries Saints game, but he’s generally a decent referee so glad to see the support.

I voted for Wayne Barnes for the same reasons as Stevie J – he’s not the most popular chap in New Zealand.

  3. Barnesy gets my vote for his continual dialogue with the players that often leads to a better game and also allows for a clearer picture of what’s going on as a fan, player or commentator. Despite the ‘less advice and more whistle’ directive, I’m pleased he hasnt wavered on this.

As for Dave Pearson, Jerry Guscott is certainly of the view that Pearson’s style does not promote free-flowing rugby. Just see his Q&A page on the BBC Rugby Union site. Cant say I disagree.

  4. Got to be Rosey !!
Top man, great communicator, has played the game (at a very good level), and would have been at the World Up but unfortunately speaks with a Black Country accent so is probably speaking a different language to the players !!

  5. I used to play with Dave Rose .. can I find is email or get on touch NO! any chance you can let him know my mobile No or mail me his contact details .. Thanks .. I look forward to hearing from you

Kind Regards Paul Boden Mob … 07960 17660

  6. After my old pal Rosey got in touch I watched with interest at Adams Park .. he showed what a great referee he is .. on top of everything and missed nothing, giving yellow cards only when neened .. keep it up buddy and ignore the fools who only gave you a 3 in that pole probably never played the game .. just read a book about the sport.
