Post Match Reaction: France 30-12 Italy

It’s all over in Paris, and although France started slowly struggling to secure possession in the scrums and lineouts, they eventually dominated a spirited Azzurri side, scoring four tries through backs AurĂ©lien Rougerie, Julien Malzieu, Vincent Clerc and debutant Wesley Fofana.

How much did you enjoy the first match of this year’s Six Nations? Are France still favourites for the title?

  1. You could tell France hadn’t spent that much time together in the opening stages. Scrappy passing from Yachvili and the lineout and scrum were far from efficent. But in the end a good win, their backs look lethal, and Fofana pleasingly for me enjoyed a very good debut.

  2. Enjoyed the game.Whole change of approach and attitude from the world cup.keen to see how the “new” England team do.
