RBS Six Nations 2012: Ireland team to play Scotland in Dublin

UPDATE: Peter O’Mahony has replaced Sean O’Brien at openside flanker, with Shane Jennings coming onto the bench.

With Paul O’Connell and Conor Murray ruled out, Rory Best has been named captain for this weekend’s match. Donnacha Ryan and Eoin Reddan both start, with Mike McCarthy and Tomas O’Leary on the bench.

    1. No doubt about it, Scotland could easily take home the win. If they do it will be a hammer blow for Ireland.

      1. Ireland have been in the wars still think they have enough firepower to see scotland off , Trimble went missing in Paris needs a big game
        to hold his spot .
        Ireland should win well lot of pressure on Scotland to preform this
        could spell the end for their coaching staff

  1. I am surprised Mcfadden did not get a start in this one. He deserves it going into the game to prepare himself. We have nothing left to learn about D’arcy and he has nothing more to learn either and the rest would be no harm.
    Thought he might start ROG simply to rotate the squad but good for Sexton.
    DOC will have to lead now for sure and not be so penalty prone.
    Surprised Heaslip held on too. Hope he makes a big statement this game.
