Nugel Own one game as Ref, come on the best ref in the World.
Walsh as ref – immediate 5 pt advantage to France …
#showboater
First thing I did was check the ref for Wales v England, saw it wasn’t Walsh, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Pretty sure every England fan had the same reaction. On the downside he’s reffing the France game, so now there’s no hope of Grand Slam!!!!
I did the same thing as a Welsh fan and was immediately disappointed! :)
Congrats to JP Doyle, delighted for him.
At least Wales won’t have the Keystone Kops pair of either:-
Wayne ‘I’m over ruling my TMO ..in fact I’m not going to use the TMO so I can make sure that Wales lose this one..again.’ Barnes
and
George ‘yet another Pro12 game……playing an Irish province and having an Irish ref …like me….’ Clancy.
That is a relief!
I’m just so glad that Roland’s name will never be seen again when France or Ireland are playing anyone else.
I’m glad we only have Steve “I’m not interested if Jones has slipped his bind and Jenkins is boring in” Walsh for one game.
Sigh. You were battered fair and square Alan, get over it. Walsh is becoming (already is?) England’s Norovirus excuse. Our front five beasted England in that game. It was one of the best performance’s we’ve ever had but some English don’t seem to be able to accept that. If we won up front then it must be the ref cos the all-Lions front five couldn’t possibly hammer the pack that give Australia a whupping…
I loved all the woe when Walsh was named as the ref of Eng v SA. “We’ll never win! He hates us! We’re doomed!”. The ref when England last beat SA? Steve Walsh.
I think Alan was making a joke re:Prophet Enochs post above but I might be wrong….
Don’t worry Brighty – we all know Wales played well that day.
Ah right, I see it now. Nice one Alan, dry.
Alan
Clearly you did not see Walsh ref the 2nd Summer Test Wales played in SA- for example 2 Welsh players yellow carded for collapsing the SA maul but no SA players yellow carded for the same offence.
I did not know that Biggar was powerful enough to collapse a maul of 3-4 Springbok forwards-clearly the man is much more than just a 13 stone No10.
Oh dear Steve Walsh again for England v France – surely he gets assesses – he is rubbish – England will do well to get away with that one :)
