Waldouck ‘Shocked’ To Be London Wasps Vice-Captain

Dom Waldouck and Rob Webber were named as London Wasps vice-captains yesterday as Tony Hanks addressed the media ahead of the club’s preseason friendlies against Leinster and Glasgow Warriors.

Wasps finished 6th last season having started this time last year with a severely depleted squad and almost unable to fill fifteen shirts in those preseason matches.  A few high profile exits and returns have ensured a calmer beginning to this year and Tony Hanks believes that individuals in his squad are now ‘a lot more comfortable with what we’re trying to do’.  That together with less injuries, including to captain Tom Rees, and the confidence is returning.  Click play below to watch an excerpt from this week’s press conference:
