  1. wow absolutely stunning test match, Genge masterful at the scrum and disruptive in the loose, Dylan Hartley still leading strong, Harry Williams had a good debut, Launchbury carried hard and passed well, Ewels made some great tackles, Wilson excellent over the balk and made one good carry, Tom Curry was outstanding, Nathan Hughes had his best game in an England shirt, Danny Care gave good quality ball, George Ford had his best game for England for years with his kicking and his try, Yarde scored a good try and made some good tackles, Lozowski the quietest of the debutants, Slade despite one overthrown pass was strop in attack and defence, scored a try but was a little quiet, Mike Brown had a good game as well,

    1. I thought both Slade and Lozowski were excellent. As was Francis when he came on. It was Lozowski’s break that led to Yarde’s try and Slade’s break and grubber which led to May’s try. Francis great timing of the pass to Ford and Solomona for their tries also. You have to remember that Lozowski and Francis are playing out of position. Slade plays a lot at 13.

  2. Thoroughly entertaining, tipsy turvy match. Massive credit to an experienced England team. Some of the Argentinian attack was sublime. Hartley, in my mind, managed to stick out like a sore thumb as being one of the weak links.

  3. That was a huge win!6 days off the plane in a very foreign environment half your first team missing is yet further evidence Eddie knows what he is doing and his selection is near perfect.

  4. One thing I don’t understand is all the hype about Solomona? Sure he’s scored a lot of tries for Sale last season but Wade has been scoring from impossible positions for a long time and he’s still not good enough? We saw yesterday where Solomona’s weakness was, and we all thought that was the reason Wade wasn’t being selected? Personally I would rather see a home grown talent like Wade given a chance.

    1. Totally agree, we wouldn’t have needed the last gasp try if Solomona hadn’t conceded 1 possibly two tries in his first 3 minutes on the pitch. It does beg the question why people like Wade, or to a lesser extent, Short, Woodburn, Sharples, Roko etc. aren’t given more of a chance. Plus the fact we had young home-grown wingers not in the 23, like Earls, does annoy me.

      1. Spot on, Short, Woodburn, Roko are all big guys with plenty of experience at playing Union. They may not have scored as many tries but know how to defend and tackle. As you say Earle is on the tour and proved how reliable he is in defence against the Baabaas, and also combined excellently with other members of the team to score a try.

    2. Could not agree more in regards to Solomona, good player but a kiwi through and through would much rather see wade given a shot. I could see him in a shane Williams mould even if not as a full 80. As an impact sub when legs are tiring in the last 20 and a few gaps open he could be lethal !
