  1. Another great game. Brown’s best game for a long time. Apart from Hartley the leaders really stepped up to show the way. Hartley was poor in the forwards and I thought Slade was poor in the backs. He offered nothing in attack and was weak in defence. Francis made a few mistakes but got involved a lot more and linked excellently with Brown for his try. Yarde was terrible in defence and although he is good with ball in hands he is a long way behind Watson and Daly.

    1. Totally agree Dazza, so gutted that Slade failed to perform and the likes of Hartley and Yarde should be jettisoned from the EPS imo.

    1. I couldn’t believe my eyes!! The frustrating thing is that we see him play like that for Quins all the time, but he’s never played like that for England before. Hopefully now Eddie will let him continue to play like that. Just imagine how many more tries we could score!!

And yes Slade really does blow hot and cold Pablito. He wasn’t outstanding the week before but a couple of nice touches made him look good, but this week was very poor.

  2. When brown offloaded I could barely contain my surprise ‘he’s offloaded’ I screamed at the top of my lungs

  3. Totally agree about Mike Brown the interception, lines ran and pass to Piers Francis for the second try had me up on my feet applauding, maybe Eddie has had a rethink and tweaked the game for these tests, didn’t he kick from hand too?

I was also really impressed with the scrum late on with the two where the pack stood solid and you could see Hughes legs planted, not shifting.

Robshaw made a huge difference how this guy has improved since being eased from the burden of captaincy, not to mention George Ford given the chance and stepped up big time.

    Dylan Hartley though………

On another note Tomas Lavanini needs throwing under the bus for that ugly Knee Breaker on Nathan Hughes that could of been a career over, then he had at lease two more no-arms tackles.
